Worship and Music Team
Led by Sue Sorensen - Coordinator for choirs, ushers, acolytes, altar guild
An open invitation: We encourage you to be part of our church in some way that will make a difference in our worship experience. It truly is one of the best ways to get acquainted with a few people at a time and contribute to our services. You can join any of our choirs, play an instrument, serve on the Altar Guild, assist the pastor, carry the cross or be an acolyte. There are no long-term contracts, scheduling is flexible, and you can join more than one group! Please contact Sue Sorensen for more information or to volunteer.
Music – We are always looking for additional voices to join our choir and hands to ring our tone chimes! Even if you are not sure, give it a try. We have a great director and organist in Jim Rindelaub, and the members all enjoy the fellowship of getting to know one another and adding to the worship experience of our congregation. All are welcome!
Chime Choir Rehearsals will resume in August: Thursday nights at 6:15 PM in the balcony choir loft
Singing in June and July: Join Sunday morning singers in singing a familiar hymn during the offering at Sunday Worship. Come to the choir room at 9:10 AM to do a sing through. Lower voices (Tenors & Basses) sing on 1st and 3rd Sundays. Higher voices (Sopranos and Altos) sing on 2nd and 4th Sundays.
Ushers – Sid Wise oversees our ushers group. Four ushers serve each Sunday on a rotating basis. Anyone 9 to 99 can serve in this vital roll helping our services run smoothly. We can also use extra help on Easter Sunday and Christmas Eve Services
Acolytes and Crucifers – A wonderful for opportunity for all family members to be involved in the service. At the beginning of the service, they light the candles and lead the procession carrying the cross. During the service they assist with accepting the offerings and serving communion.
Altar Guild – Responsible for preparing the sanctuary and altar for services. Scheduling and training are provided by Beverly Semovoski and Beatrice Showman.
